Join us for this exclusive 2+ day tour of Modernism in the Desert organized in partnership with Palm Springs Modernism Week. Enjoy round trip coach transportation from Los Angeles to Palm Springs where guests will trace the evolution of desert Modernism through ten decades. Day one includes a visit to Albert Frey’s own house, Frey II, completed in 1964 and designed to have as little impact on the surrounding environment as possible. Guests will have the opportunity to see the ‘all metal’ Aluminaire House completed in 1961, also by Frey, in addition to spending time at the Palm Springs Art Museum and Architecture and Design Center.

Day two features a 2 ½ hour architectural bus tour viewing world-famous works of early Modern architecture from the 1930s, hundreds of stylish Modern homes from the city’s midcentury heyday, intriguing transitional works from the 70s and 80s, faithful restorations and reproductions from the revival years, and gorgeous new homes by the area’s top contemporary architects and designers. In the afternoon, guests will be treated to exclusive house tours and a group dinner. On Monday, guests will have the morning free for shopping, hiking or sightseeing on your own before departing for LA at noon.

This tour includes two nights of accommodations at Alcazar Palm Springs (expanded continental breakfast included) in addition to lunch on Saturday and dinner on Sunday.
